MANITOBA

John in Winnipeg.John and the skyline of Winnipeg, Manitoba: This picture was taken at "The Forks," where the Red and Assiniboine Rivers converge; this location on the original site of railway marshalling yards has been a meeting place of all people for well over six thousand years. Now it is an area of stylish shops and restaurants with an area for concerts and public displays.

BRITISH COLUMBIA

Ann and John on Mount Idaho.
John and Ann, Mount Idaho, the Kootenays: We drove 12 km. up this mountain on a very rough, winding and bone-rattling road! Then we had to hike about 2 km. nearly to the top of the mountain. This picture was taken at the point where we stopped to rest.

Enjoying the view.
It was a wonderfully warm and sunny day; stunning vistas lay around us on all sides. Elongated fir trees in variegated shadings of green and fields of colorful alpine flowers waving in the breeze abounded. It was indeed a splendid and beautiful view.

Group taking a break.
